The Storylines
- Ja Morant’s Status: The biggest question mark is the availability of Ja Morant. He missed the Berlin game with a right calf injury. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has expressed optimism that Morant will return for the London crowd, which would drastically change the dynamic for a Grizzlies team currently 11th in the West.
- The Wagner Homecoming: Franz Wagner made a triumphant return from an ankle injury in Berlin, scoring 18 points. Alongside Paolo Banchero (26 pts, 13 reb), the Magic’s young core looks formidable and is currently sitting 5th in the Eastern Conference.
- Desmond Bane vs. Former Team: Former Grizzly Desmond Bane continues to be a focal point for Orlando, averaging 19 PPG this season. He’ll look to sweep his former squad on the international stage.
